Tuesday, June 20, from 8:00-9:30 am, 100 S 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO.
The JRP is excited to host a Native North American's presentation and beading workshop provided by the St. Joseph Museum. During this one-of-a-kind presentation, learn about the culture, heritage, and lives of tribes in North America and experience making your very own beaded bracelet or keychain, while exploring the importance of beading to Native American heritage and culture and identifying regional beading techniques. This program will be presented by Shelly Haynes, St. Joseph Museum's Programming Manager and Tori Ziegler, Osteologist who will bring in some items to talk about different beading types.
Cost to participate is free. Registration is required and may be accomplished by calling or visiting the JRP, (816) 271-4666.
