Remington Nature Center is hosting the 11th annual Insect-O-Rama on September 14, from 10am-2pm. Guests are invited to come learn about all aspects of insects. Missouri Wester State University will be present assisting guests with aquatic dip netting in the lagoon. Students will also be on hand to help guest use microscopes and learn about microscopic insect life. Preferred Pest Control will be available to answer any questions guests may have about home invading insects and spiders. They will also be providing activities for children. Paul Landkamer will be back again this year serving up insect cuisine for those brave enough to tried some insect fare. The St. Joseph Health Department will be here this year to answer any concerns you may have about potentially injurious insects and arachnids. Missouri Beekeepers will share their knowledge about beekeeping and kids can participate in a make-and-take craft along with cockroach races.
