2. ATTENTION

   The shelter is open to the public for visits and conducting adoptions by appointment. We are accepting applications on adoptable animals and if your application is first on the animal that you apply for, an animal shelter staff member will call you at their earliest convenience to schedule your meet and greet.

   Please Note: If you are submitting an application for a specific animal, you will only be contacted if/when it is your turn to meet the animal you have selected. If you have questions regarding the status of your application, please call the adoption desk at 816-271-4877. You may need to leave a voicemail and a staff member will return your call ASAP.
