Visit the Joyce Raye Patterson 50+ Activity Center, 100 S 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO, from 9-11 am on Thursday's to play Dominoes. This is an open game group for persons 50 and older. Stay Strong, Stay Healthy is an 8-week, evidence-based strength training program. that meets for one hour, twice a week. Participants fitness levels are assessed at the beginning and ending of this program to help gauge improvement. Classes are instructor led and consist of warm-up exercises, strength exercises, and cool-down stretches. Weights are gradually added as participants gain strength. Normally $50, due to a grant this program is free for registered participants. Classes will meet Mondays & Thursdays from 10-11 am, March 28-May 19, 2022 at the Joyce Raye Patterson 50+ Activity Center (JRP), 100 S 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO, (816) 271-4666. Registration is required and participants must be available to meet both days of the week for the 8 week period.
