Bonds for Bridges

Voters approved the issuance of general obligation (G.O.) bonds in the amount of $20 million for the repair and replacement of bridges and transportation infrastructure in St. Joseph.

2020 City Charter Amendments

Voters approved four proposed changes relating to the composition of council, attendance at meetings, capital and operating budget submission, and declaration of a winner in the primary election.

Parks Sales Tax

On August 3, 2021, voters approved a half-cent sales tax to help restore and improve our green spaces, parks, and parks facilities to provide safe, ADA-compliant and desirable quality of life amenities for our residents and help maintain them for our future generations.

Ballot Initiative to Fund Police Department

On November 8, voters approved a 20-year, half-cent sales tax for the purpose of funding the police department and ensuring the sustainability of public safety.

2024 City Charter Amendments

On April 2, 2024, voters approved five of the seven proposed propositions to the City Charter. 

2024 Use Tax Renewal

On August 6, 2024, voters approved the renewal of the city's Use Tax.
