[ARCHIVED] Stormwater Management Plan Draft and Public Hearing

Public Notice

Communities with a population between 10,000 and 100,000 people are required to obtain a permit to discharge stormwater to waters of the state under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). The current permit for the city of St. Joseph was issued in March 2017 and expires on September 30, 2021. Under the permit, the city is required to submit an updated five-year Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) with their permit renewal application. The SWMP details how the Stormwater Management Program will be implemented. The draft SWMP (PDF) and a public comment form are available for residents to use to provide feedback through the month of March. A public hearing will also be held on March 30, at 6pm at City Hall.
