Applications are now being accepted for the Joint Citizen’s Law Enforcement Academy through the St. Joseph Police Department and Buchanan County Sheriff's Department. This free academy will take place on Tuesday nights from 6-9pm, March 25 through May 20, as participants will get an up-close look at law enforcement in our area. Those interested can apply online or contact Sergeant Peters at (816) 236-1473. Applications will be accepted through March 23, as only 30 seats are available for the academy.
