Effective May 4, St. Joseph will begin reopening with guidelines as issued in the city’s Fourth Amended Declaration and Order. As part of that Order, businesses are required to post informational signage at entryways and in areas for both customers and employees to view. Signage is now available for businesses to print and display and can be found on the city’s website at stjoemo.org. The signage is labeled by business category. We must all work together to protect the health and safety of everyone as we work to rebuild our economy. We are all in this together!
At a work session held Wednesday, May 13, the City Council made the decision to allow bars and taverns to reopen following guidelines established in the Fifth Amended Declaration and Order while applying the order issued by the State of Missouri and the guidance provided in the “Guidelines for Opening Up America Again” that have been issued by the President. The Declaration and Order continues to impose the requirements established previously to ensure public health and safety along with the following amendments as they relate to bars, taverns and restaurants effective May 14.
