The board consists of six members: three appointed by the mayor with council approval and three appointed by the Buchanan County Commission. The mayor and presiding commissioner serve as ex-officio members. Members serve three-year terms.

About the Board

The Social Welfare Board of Buchanan County, now doing business as "Stuber Health Center" is one of the oldest free and charitable clinics since 1913. Stuber Health Center provides medical, dental, and women's health care services to those underserved in our community. Those residing in Buchanan County and earning an income less than 200% Federal Poverty Level are eligible to receive the services regardless of their insurance status, except for Medicare.
